Whether you need to be present for a pickup mostly comes down to where the items are and whether we need to confirm anything on-site before loading.
When curbside works without you present
If everything is already staged at the curb or driveway and the quote was confirmed by photo ahead of time, you often don't need to be home — we can complete the pickup and text a confirmation once it's done.
When we need someone home
If items are inside the house, garage, or a space we need to be walked through, someone needs to be there to grant access and confirm which items are going. This is also true if the final pile turns out to be noticeably different from the photos used for the original quote.
Giving access without being there
For some jobs, a trusted neighbor, property manager, or a lockbox arrangement can stand in for you being home in person — worth asking about when booking if you can't be there yourself. This comes up most often with rental turnovers between tenants.

Frequent questions
Can I just leave items at the curb and go to work?
Yes, if the pile matches what was quoted by photo and doesn't need any in-home access, curbside-only pickup usually works without you present.
What if the crew arrives and I'm not home but items are inside?
We'll reach out by phone or text first. Without access or a confirmed plan, an in-home pickup may need to be rescheduled.
Do I need to pay before or after pickup?
Payment timing is confirmed when you book, so it can typically be handled without you being physically present if that's arranged in advance.
