What can add to the price
A few categories carry add-on fees because they cost more to dispose of responsibly or require extra handling:
- Eco-disposal items — certain electronics, mattresses, and appliances have separate disposal or recycling fees baked into their category rather than general landfill pricing.
- Extreme access situations — items requiring disassembly, or pickups from difficult-access points like a detached third-floor unit with no elevator, can affect the quote.
- Scope changes on-site — if the actual pile is meaningfully larger than what was described over the phone or in photos, the tier may need to be adjusted before work begins.
Why we lock the price before loading
We confirm the truck-size tier and total price on-site before any items are loaded, so you know the final number before work starts — not after. If your pile turns out smaller than estimated, you pay the smaller tier.
